Ferny Grove Central is a Transit Oriented Development designed to transform the Ferny Grove Train Station into a vibrant, connected hub of commercial, retail, and residential activity. The redevelopment replaces existing commuter parking with an integrated precinct featuring new multi-level parking, retail outlets, commercial spaces, and contemporary residential apartments.

The design emphasises pedestrian-friendly public spaces, shaded walkways, and active laneways that promote movement and social interaction. Natural landscaping enhances comfort, defines pathways, and provides cooling, creating an inviting and sustainable environment. Investment in shared community spaces encourages activity beyond commuting, fostering a lively, local village atmosphere.

During my time with Bureau Proberts, I supported the project architect through the construction documentation and contract administration phases. My responsibilities included consultant coordination, workshop participation, shop drawing reviews and sign-offs, documentation development, quality assurance, and BIM management audits. This project offered valuable experience collaborating with multiple private stakeholders, government agencies, and regulatory bodies across a complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure and urban renewal initiative.
